New Clouded Leopard Cubs Video - And More.....

Back in March, the National Zoo’s Conservation and Research Center announced the birth of two clouded leopard cubs. The cubs’ birth was big news, in part because clouded leopards are severely endangered and in part because the species presents unique problems to those attempting to breed it in captivity. (Male clouded leopards are prone to behavior so aggressive that they often wind up killing their potential mates. Females are known for, whether intentionally or accidentally, killing their cubs shortly after they’re born.) See how they have grown and how the babies are doing at the National Zoo.

The Pick-Up Artist

Written by sdettorre

I really don’t know how some shows get past the pitch, let alone on TV. Most of these shows are reality in nature and end up on one of 4 channels: VH1, MTV, E!, or Bravo. Why Appropriators Deserve an “F” in Politics

Written by Campaign-nomad

Earmarks are a grand tradition in the glittery marbley building we call the Capitol. Long before the :achm: relatively enlightened age of today, they went to feed the hungry mouths back home No, not the poor, I’m talking about old school political machines.

A Little Lesson for your Thanksgiving Hangover...

Written by rhanley

With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching, doing work, at work, or not at work for that matter, is becoming increasingly difficult. I find myself doing a lot of spacing out. I have a bunch of things going on in life right now and it seems that instead of just being super motivated and getting everything done, I’ve been going thousand mile stare style through the computer screen. Daydreaming about such things as High School basketball, Pumpkin Pie, and my very good looking Lady Friend…
